Wizards Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)

It was a bad night north of the border for the Wizards, who for one night looked like they reverted to the team they were before Randy Wittman took over. Under Wittman, they had begun to play harder and looked to be breaking a few of their bad habits, but not on Friday against the Raptors.

The Wizards had a sloppy, lack-of-effort game and lost to the Toronto Raptors, 106-89. The Wizards are 4-19.

The Wizards had trouble with the full-court pressure defense that they’ve been trying to play, and appeared tired, like they just didn’t have their legs underneath them.

For a moment, the Wizards also went back to that old one-on-one style of play that’s been their downfall for most of their losses.

Any signs of progress Wizards coach Randy Wittman had seen in recent games were entirely absent Friday night. Leandro Barbosa shook off flulike symptoms to score 19 points, Amir Johnson had 18 points and 13 rebounds, and the Toronto Raptors beat Washington 106-89, handing the Wizards their third straight defeat.

Magic snap skid with 109-103 win over Wizards (AP)

The Orlando Magic came into Wednesday night playing dangerously poor basketball. For the losers of four straight games, injuries were mounting and morale was falling daily. Thankfully for the Magic, they got a visit from a Washington Wizards team that was struggling even more and hadn’t won in Amway Center for a long time.

Rose scores 35 to lead Bulls over Wizards 98-88 (AP)

Fresh off an embarrassing performance Sunday in Miami, Derrick Rose couldn’t wait to make up for it a day later. And, boy, did he ever. Rose scored a season-high 35 points to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 98-88 win over the Washington Wizards on Monday night. It came a day after the reigning league MVP missed two key free throws and a possible game-tying jumper in the final 30 seconds in a…
