The Grizzlies’ grand experiment to play shooting guard O.J. Mayo at point guard for the team’s first two games in the Las Vegas Summer League was unimpressive.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Relatives and friends of Lorenzen Wright gathered Wednesday and grieved for the former NBA player who has been missing for 10 days, as police investigated the discovery of a man's body outside of Memphis.

Grizzlies’ rookie Vasquez has ankle surgery (AP)

The Memphis Grizzlies say rookie guard Greivis Vasquez underwent surgery on his right ankle to remove a bone spur. The team said in a news release Tuesday night that the surgery was successful and he is expected to return for training camp in late September. Vasquez was injured while playing in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
